This article, the first of three articles on the synthesis of rice processing plants, focuses on the development of simplified mathematical models necessary for use in optimizing rice processing plants. The second concentrates on the optimal synthesis of a rice plant and the third on the sensitivity of the optimization to uncertainty in model parameters. Existing models for rice processing unit operations are not suitable for flowsheet optimization and new models need to be developed to overcome numerical difficulties that occur in optimization applications, specifically in mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) applications. Simplified models of the drying, cooling, and tempering units are developed. In addition head rice yield models, used as a quality indicator, energy consumption, and economic models were also developed. Naturally, the new models exhibit some mismatch with respect to the existing models from which they were developed. However, a sensitivity analysis, presented in Part III, has shown that the optimal flowsheet structure was not sensitive to a lack of fit between the simplified and complex models. This paper introduces a methodology for symbolic pole/zero extraction based on the formulation of the time-constant matrix of the circuits. This methodology incorporates approximation techniques specifically devoted to achieve an optimum trade-off between accuracy and complexity of the symbolic root expressions. Very low bit-rate video coding has recently become one of the most important areas of image communication and a large variety of applications have already been identified. Since conventional approaches are reaching a saturation point, in terms of coding efficiency, a new generation of video coding techniques, aiming at a deeper “understanding” of the image, is being studied. In this context, image analysis, particularly the identification of objects or regions in images (segmentation), is a very important step. This paper describes a segmentation algorithm based on split and merge. Images are first simplified using mathematical morphology operators, which eliminate perceptually less relevant details. The simplified image is then split according to a quad tree structure and the resulting regions are finally merged in three steps: merge, elimination of small regions and control of the number of regions. 相似文献

针对传统多边形位置关系计算比较烦琐,以及简单多边形的理论难以拓展到一般多边形的问题,提出标注节点状态的方法.通过定义11种位置来描述折线链上每个节点的状态,再采用"线段端点与线段"和"线段端点与邻折线"的标注方法来实现任意折线链的标注,同时利用两线段分割预处理使相交仅发生在端点处,从而使算法更高效;然后给出折线链基本位置关系的节点特征,并且探讨了三维顶点的标注方法.该方法的标注原理简单、方法实用,算法空间和时间复杂度分别为O(n)和O(n2).实验结果表明,该方法对任意形状的折线链都能实现稳定标注;通过搜索节点状态特征可以求解折线链间的相互关系,还可以实现一般折线链的碰撞检测、相交区域计算以及多边形简单化分解等. 相似文献

This article analyzes the bias dependence of gate‐drain capacitance (Cgd) and gate‐source capacitance (Cgs) in the AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors under a high drain‐to‐source voltage (Vds) from the perspective of channel shape variation, and further simplifies Cgd and Cgs to be gate‐to‐source voltage (Vgs) dependent only at high Vds. This method can significantly reduce the number of parameters to be fitted in Cgd and Cgs and therefore lower the difficulty of model development. The Angelov capacitance models are chosen for verifying the effectiveness of simplification. Good agreement between simulated and measured small‐signal S‐parameters, large‐signal power sweep, and power contours comprehensively proves the accuracy of this simplification method. 相似文献

如何使用简化方法对装配体进行仿真引起了许多研究者的关注。从一个实际的例子出发,以ANSYS Workbench为平台,对一个三维装配体进行简化建模,直接在原始三维模型的基础上,用面体来创建板壳模型,用线体来创建梁模型,并通过焊接模式来建模线体模型、板壳模型和实体模型之间的连接关系。以苗床自动覆膜系统在自身重力下的刚度计算为实例,对比了未简化模型与简化模型的分析结果,计算表明该方法的效率是未简化模型的11.6倍,而精度损失很少。 相似文献
