With the goal to produce a hard and tough coating intended for tribological applications, CrAlN/TiSiN nanolayer coating was prepared by alternative deposition of CrAlN and TiSiN layers. In the first part of the article, a detailed study of phase composition, microstructure, and layer structure of CrAlN/TiSiN coating is presented. In the second part, its mechanical properties, fracture and tribological behavior are compared to the nanocomposite TiSiN coating. An industrial magnetron sputtering unit was used for coating deposition. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy were used for compositional and microstructural analysis. Mechanical properties and fracture behavior were studied by instrumented indentation and focused ion beam techniques. Tribological properties were evaluated by ball-on-disk test in a linear reciprocal mode. A complex layer structure was found in the nanolayer coating. The TiSiN layers were epitaxially stabilized inside the coating which led to formation of dislocations at interfaces, to introduction of disturbances in the coating growth, and as a result, to development of fine-grained columnar microstructure. Indentation load required for the onset of fracture was twice lower for the nanolayer CrAlN/TiSiN, compared to the nanocomposite TiSiN coating. This agrees very well with their mechanical properties, with H3/E2 being twice higher for the TiSiN coating. However, the nanolayer coating experienced less severe damage, which had a strong impact on tribological behavior. A magnitude of order lower wear rate and four times lower steady state friction coefficient were found for the nanolayer coating.  相似文献

Monitoring of nitrate (NO3-) and nitrite (NO2-) content in agricultural products in Slovenia has been carried out since 1996. The results of monitoring over the period 1996-2002 are presented. During this time 924 samples of 14 different agricultural products (potato, lettuce, apples, carrot, silage maize, cabbage, grapes, peaches, string beans, cereals, pears, cucumbers, strawberries and tomato) were analysed. The samples were taken at the time of maturity directly from growing sites and they were analysed using segmented flow analysis. The average nitrate contents were the highest in lettuce (1074 mg kg-1), cabbage (881 mg kg-1), string beans (298 mg kg-1) and carrot (264 mg kg-1), and they were moderately high in potato (158 mg kg-1), silage maize (122 mg kg-1), strawberries (94 mg kg-1), cucumbers (93 mg kg-1) and cereals (49 mg kg-1). Low nitrate contents (below 6 mg kg-1) were found in fruit (grapes, peaches, apples and pears) and tomato. With the exception of cereals (8.9 mg kg-1), apples (1.5 mg kg-1), potato (1.2 mg kg-1) and pears (1.0 mg kg-1) the content of nitrites did not exceed 0.5 mg kg-1. It may be concluded that the results of the monitoring were in most cases similar to the results of investigations obtained in other countries.  相似文献

In this study, the diffusion of various types of solvent in oil palm empty fruit bunch/polyurethane composites, produced from chemically modified empty fruit bunches, was investigated. The solubility parameters and polymer–solvent interaction parameters of the produced composites were determined. The void contents of the composites were also determined before swelling tests to eliminate the free solvent present in the system. From the results obtained, we found that the diffusion of the solvents was dependent on the compatible group available and the voids present in the system. The solubility parameters of the empty fruit bunch/polyurethane composites with different degrees of chemical modification were 11.6 and 11.7 (cal/cm?3)1/2. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The paper describes an analysis of reliability of railway traffic personnel. The human tasks critical to system safety are identified. Human error probability is chosen as a measure of human reliability in performing these tasks. The probabilities of some critical errors are estimated using the field data collected in the Slovenian railway traffic system. As stress conditions strongly affect the human performance, a simple model of the dependence of human error probability on stress levels is proposed.  相似文献

This study focuses on the effect of isocyanate (NCO)/hydroxyl (OH) group ratios and chemical modification of oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFBs) with toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI) on the mechanical properties of EFB–polyurethane (PU) composites. The tensile, flexural, and impact properties are affected by the NCO/OH ratios. The tensile strengths, flexural strengths, and toughness increase as the NCO/OH increases; however, the modulus decreases. The reduction in the modulus is attributable to the increased flexibility of the PU linkages. Chemical modification of the EFBs increases the tensile strength, flexural strength, and toughness; however, the modulus is lowered as the percentage of treated EFB is increased. Impact strength results show that the strength increases as the NCO/OH ratio is increased. At NCO/OH ratios of 1.0 and 1.1, the composites with HMDI‐treated fibers exhibit higher impact strength than those with TDI‐treated and untreated fibers, respectively. This may be due to the longer and more flexible chain length of HMDI as compared to TDI, which enables the composites to absorb more energy before failure. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB)‐filled polypropylene (PP) composites were produced. The EFB filler was chemically modified with maleic anhydride (MAH). The effects of the filler size and chemical modification of EFBs on the tensile and dimensional stability properties of EFB–PP composites were studied. The composites with MAH‐treated EFBs showed higher tensile strengths than those with untreated EFBs. This was attributed to the enhanced compatibility between the MAH‐treated EFBs and PP matrix, as shown in a scanning electron microscopy study. Fourier transform infrared analysis showed evidence of C?C and C?O bonds from MAH at 1630 and 1730 cm?1, respectively. In this paper we present a novel approach to preparing large-displacement 65Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3–35PbTiO3/Pt (65/35 PMN–PT/Pt) bimorph actuators. These “substrate-free”, bending-type actuators were prepared by screen-printing the 65/35 PMN–PT and Pt thick-film pastes as the electrodes on alumina substrates. After this screen printing and the subsequent firing the 65/35 PMN–PT/Pt composites were peeled off from the substrates. Displacements of nearly 100 μm at 18 V were achieved for actuators with dimensions of 1.8 cm × 2.5 mm × 50 μm for the 65/35 PMN–PT layer. The normalized displacement (the displacement per unit length) was 40 μm/cm at 18 V. The experimental results together with a computation procedure were used to obtain the material parameters for a finite-element analysis of the 65/35 PMN–PT/Pt bimorph actuators.  相似文献

High T c superconducting materials based on a PbO-modified Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system with various ratios between the oxides were prepared by calcination at 800 °C and firing at 855 °C. From X-ray powder diffraction analysis data, the ratio of low- and high-temperature phases was calculated. The material with the nominal composition Bi2Pb0.5Sr2Ca2.5Cu3.5O x was chosen for further experimental work. Samples fired at 800 °C contain mostly the low-temperature phase (2212). Higher firing temperatures lead to the formation of the high T c phase (2223) with T c(R=0) over 100 K. Some samples were cold pressed and refired which increased the specific density to over 80% of the theoretical density. The composition of samples was investigated by X-ray powder diffraction analysis and by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The main phase in the material fired at 800 °C, is the low T c phase 2212, and secondary phases are Ca2PbO4, unreacted CuO and traces of 2223 phase. At higher firing temperatures, the main phase is the high-temperature phase 2223. The material is still heterogeneous and contains Ca2PbO4.  相似文献

Versioning is an important aspect of web service development, which has not been adequately addressed so far. In this article, we propose extensions to WSDL and UDDI to support versioning of web service interfaces at development-time and run-time. We address service-level and operation-level versioning, service endpoint mapping, and version sequencing. We also propose annotation extensions for developing versioned web services in Java. We have tested the proposed solution for versioning in two real-world environments and identified considerable improvements in service development and maintenance efficiency, improved service reuse, and simplified governance.  相似文献
