An effective coding approach for multiobjective integrated resource selection and operation sequences problem

In this paper, we consider an integrated Resource Selection and Operation Sequences (iRS/OS) problem in Intelligent Manufacturing System (IMS). Several kinds of objectives are taken into account, in which the makespan for orders should be minimized; workloads among machine tools should be balanced; the total transition times between machines in a local plant should also be minimized. To solve this multiobjective iRS/OS model, a new two vectors-based coding approach has been proposed to improve the efficiency by designing a chromosome containing two kinds of information, i.e., operation sequences and machine selection. Using such kind of chromosome, we adapt multistage operation-based Genetic Algorithm (moGA) to find the Pareto optimal solutions. Moreover a special technique called left-shift hillclimber has been used as one kind of local search to improve the efficiency of our algorithm. Finally, the experimental results of several iRS/OS problems indicate that our proposed approach can obtain best solutions. Further more comparing with previous approaches, moGA performs better for finding Pareto solutions. Received: May 2005/Accepted: December 2005     

Al2O3陶瓷激光铣削试验研究

采用Nd∶YAG脉冲激光器对Al2 O3陶瓷进行铣削加工试验。系统研究了工艺参数对铣削量和铣削面质量的影响规律 ,并利用优化的铣削工艺对Al2 O3陶瓷进行多种形状的铣削加工。     

西气东输对南水北调穿黄隧洞影响动力分析计算

西气东输管线距离南水北调工程穿黄河隧道的最近距离:河漫滩仅150 m,主河槽仅205 m.输气管线在运行过程中,存在着因误操作、管道腐蚀、自然灾害或人为破坏等因素引发事故发生爆炸的可能.对深泓区穿黄隧洞地下部分在天然气爆炸冲击波作用下的安全性进行动力分析计算,认为西气东输管道破裂引起的天然气爆炸,不会对南水北调输水隧洞产生破坏影响.

Thermal stability of reinforced Nb3Sn composite superconductor under cryocooled conditions

Several types of reinforced Nb₃Sn wires have been developed to prevent reduction of superconducting properties by applying a strong electromagnetic force. To fabricate a cryocooled magnet using those reinforced wires, we experimentally measured the minimum quench energy (MQE) under cryocooled conditions of some reinforced Nb₃Sn wires. As a result, it became clear that thermal stability expressed as MQE was controlled by the temperature margin between the temperature of the operating condition and the transition temperature from superconductivity to normal. Using the FEM analysis, it was realized that the cause of the decline in thermal stability for the reinforced wires was the low thermal conductivity of the reinforced materials.     

Hematopoietic and lymphopoietic responses in human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) receptor transgenic mice injected with human GM-CSF

Using a clonal assay of bone marrow (BM) cells from transgenic mice (Tg-mice) expressing the human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptor (hGM-CSFR), we found in earlier studies that hGM-CSF alone supported the development not only of granulocyte-macrophage colonies, but also of erythrocytes, megakaryocytes, mast cells, blast cells, and mixed hematopoietic colonies. In this report, we evaluated the in vivo effects of hGM-CSF on hematopoietic and lymphopoietic responses in the hGM-CSFR Tg-mice. Administration of this factor to Tg-mice resulted in dose-dependent increases in numbers of reticulocytes and white blood cells (WBCs) in the peripheral blood. Morphological analysis of WBCs showed that the numbers of all types of the cell, including neutrophils, eosinophils, monocytes, and lymphocytes increased; the most remarkable being in lymphocytes that contained a number of large granular lymphocytes (LGLs) in addition to mature T and B cells. However, total cellularity of the BM of the Tg-mice decreased in a dose-dependent manner when hGM-CSF was injected. In sharp contrast to the BM, spleens of the Tg-mice were grossly enlarged. Although all types of blood cells and hematopoietic progenitors increased in the spleen, erythroid cells and their progenitors showed the most significant increase. Increased numbers of megakaryocytes and LGLs were also observed in spleen and liver of the treated Tg-mice. Flow cytometric analysis showed that LGLs expanded in Tg-mice expressed Mac-1+ CD3- NK1.1+. The thymus of Tg-mice treated with hGM-CSF exhibited a dose-dependent shrinkage and a remarkable decrease in CD4+ CD8+ cells. Thus, hGM-CSF stimulated not only myelopoiesis but also erythropoiesis and megakaryopoiesis of hGM-CSFR Tg-mice in vivo, in accordance with our reported in vitro findings. In addition, hGM-CSF affected the development of lymphoid cells, including natural killer cells of these Tg-mice.     

Heparin affinity high-performance liquid chromatography as an alternative to bioassay of CS23 mutein of recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor

We investigated whether a chemical assay by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) as an alternative to the complicated and time-consuming bioassay for CS23 mutein of recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor (rhbFGF-CS23) using the fetal bovine heart endothelial cell line ATCC CRL 1395. Physically, chemically or enzymatically denatured rhbFGF-CS23 was subjected to heparin affinity (HA)-HPLC and the bioassay. Good agreement was observed between the results obtained by these two methods. Moreover, HA-HPLC gave much more reproducible results (RSD = 1.9%, n = 6) than the bioassay (RSD = 7.4%, n = 18). HA-HPLC is therefore a simple, accurate and reproducible alternative to the bioassay for quality control and stability studies for rhbFGF-CS23 preparations. HA-HPLC is also considered to be applicable to assays for FGFs which have heparin affinity and biological activity similar to those of the CS23 mutein.     

p型碲镉汞液相外延材料Ag掺杂的研究

利用SIMS和变温霍尔测量手段对P型Hg0.77Gd0.23Te液相外延材料的Ag掺杂技术、机理及掺杂碲镉汞材料的性能进行了研究。结果表明采用AgNO3溶液直接浸泡方式对该材料进行掺Ag是成功的，掺杂浓度与被掺杂材料中的汞空位浓度是一致的，掺杂后，P型碲镉汞材料的受主能级比掺杂前有明显的减小，从实验结果可看到掺Ag碲镉汞材料的电学性能在室温下保持稳定。     

Bioeffects of Low Energy Ion-Beam Implantation and Vacuum Treatment on M1 Arabidopsis Thaliana

Vacuum treatment and ion-beam bombardment are two major processes in the low energy ion-beam implantation. To accurately study the contributions of these two major factors to the bioeffects separately, the M1 generation variation of Arabidopsis thaliana with ion-beam implantation and vacuum treatment were compared through a series of key plant development parameters including morphological observation, biochemical assay and RAPD （random amplified polymorphic DNA） analysis. The results showed that ion-beam implantation had obvious effect on almost all of these parameters, and the vacuum treatment had some impacts on several morphological parameters such as the bolting time and the length of the primary stem. Taking the results together, the indication is that vacuum treatment has some slight contributions to the bioeffects of ion-beam implantation while ion-beam bombardment itself is the major creator of the bioeffects.
