The luminescence properties of yellow-emitting Ce3+-doped Sr-containing sialon phosphor Sr(Al,Si)5(O,N)7:Ce3+ were notably improved by the Ce raw material selection. By changing the Ce raw material from oxides to nitrides or chlorides, the emission wavelength shifted to above 560 nm, which is beneficial for higher color rendering index white light-emitting diodes. This result from an increase in the covalency of the host crystal being associated with a decrease in the oxygen content. When Ce chloride was used, both the absorption and internal quantum efficiency increased, resulting in an increase in the external quantum efficiency up to 65%–72%. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction, and electron spin resonance measurements showed that the reason for the absorption increase is an increase in Ce3+ content and suppression of the generation of the second phase, and the reason for the increase in the internal quantum efficiency is a decrease in the host crystal absorption via suppression of anion vacancy generation. It was found that Ce chloride not only suppresses oxygen impurities but also acts as a flux that results in improved crystallinity.  相似文献

Two patients with polymyositis (PM) or dermatomyositis (DM) complicated with massive pleural effusion are reported here. Both patients presented a high-grade fever, pleural effusion prominent on the right, and good response to steroid therapy. In a 50-year-old woman with PM, combined process of pleural inflammation, cardiomyopathy and coexisting hypothyroidism were considered to be responsible for the accumulation of the massive pleural effusion. However, in a 34-year-old man with DM, pleural inflammation associated with interstitial pneumonia or pleural microvasculopathy in DM was considered to be responsible for the accumulation of the massive pleural effusion.  相似文献

Scanning confocal electron microscopy (SCEM) offers a mechanism for three-dimensional imaging of materials, which makes use of the reduced depth of field in an aberration-corrected transmission electron microscope. The simplest configuration of SCEM is the bright-field mode. In this paper we present experimental data and simulations showing the form of bright-field SCEM images. We show that the depth dependence of the three-dimensional image can be explained in terms of two-dimensional images formed in the detector plane. For a crystalline sample, this so-called probe image is shown to be similar to a conventional diffraction pattern. Experimental results and simulations show how the diffracted probes in this image are elongated in thicker crystals and the use of this elongation to estimate sample thickness is explored.  相似文献

The structure and composition of the 1/4{110} twin boundary in alpha-Zn7Sb2O12 have been determined by using quantitative high-angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF STEM) analysis. The noise in the experimental HAADF STEM images is reduced by using the maximum entropy method and average processing, and the parameters used in dynamical simulations are experimentally determined. From the analysis, it has been found that octahedral sites in the twin boundary slightly shift parallel to the [110] direction, and a reduction of the Sb concentration at the octahedral sites on the plane adjacent to the twin boundary was detected. The reduction was measured from three regions in the same twin boundary, and the Sb concentrations were 4 +/- 3, 8 +/- 3 and 19 +/-2 at% from 33 at%.  相似文献

We are developing novel ultra light-weight and high-resolution X-ray micro pore optics for space X-ray telescopes. In our method, curvilinear micro pore structures are firstly fabricated by silicon deep reactive ion etching (DRIE) or X-ray LIGA processes. Secondly, side walls of the micro structures are smoothed by magnetic field assisted finishing and/or hydrogen annealing techniques for high reflectivity mirrors. Thirdly, to focus parallel X-ray lights from astronomical objects, these structures are elastically or plastically bent into a spherical shape. Fourthly, the bent structures are stacked to form a multi-stage X-ray telescope. In this paper, we report on fabrication and X-ray reflection tests of silicon and nickel X-ray mirrors using the DRIE and LIGA processes, respectively. For the first time, X-ray reflections were confirmed on both of the mirrors. Estimated rms roughnesses were 5 nm and 3 nm for the silicon and nickel mirrors, respectively.  相似文献

Measurements of thickness using electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) are revised. Absolute thickness values can be quickly and accurately determined with the Kramers-Kronig sum method. The EELS data analysis is even much easier with the log-ratio method, however, absolute calibration of this method requires knowledge of the mean free path of inelastic electron scattering lambda. The latter has been measured here in a wide range of solids and a scaling law lambda approximately rho(-0.3) versus mass density rho has been revealed. EELS measurements critically depend on the excitation and collection angles. This dependence has been studied experimentally and theoretically and an efficient model has been formulated.  相似文献

The thermally assisted machining of yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal using a cutting tool heated with induction heating was proposed. Although the conventional thermally assisted machining cannot be applied to drilling, the proposed method can be. Heat transfer from the heated cutting tool to the workpiece was simulated analytically, and the result showed that heating of the tool up to 500 °C produced an increase of 150–400 °C in the workpiece temperature. Cutting experiments demonstrated an improvement in machinability.  相似文献

The influence of environmental temperatures on the fatigue strength of compressed-hydrogen tanks for vehicles was investigated. The fatigue strength of Type-3 tanks was found to decrease in a low-temperature environment and increase in a high-temperature environment. The Type-3 tank has been subjected to autofrettage to improve fatigue strength. The investigation clarified that the effect of autofrettage changes according to the environmental temperature due to the difference between the coefficients of thermal expansion of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and aluminum alloy. This causes fatigue strength to change with changes in temperature. The Type-4 tank has a very long fatigue life and did not break after 45,000 cycles in a room-temperature or low-temperature environment. In a high-temperature environment, however, the tank broke in fewer than 45,000 cycles. The fatigue of carbon fiber reinforced plastic was promoted in the high-temperature environment, resulting in breakage of the tank. These results indicate that the fatigue strength of the tanks is influenced by the environmental temperature.  相似文献

A new scheme of calculation of high-angle annular dark-field STEM image, capable of including both elastically diffracted and thermal diffuse scattering waves, has been presented by a combination of Pennycook's and Nakamura's methods. The new scheme has been demonstrated for image simulations of Si(011) as functions of thickness, defocus values and detector angles. In the present method, the TDS electron intensities are treated in the same way as in Pennycook's method, having a clear physical picture of its origin and reflecting the atom configuration in the systems. For the case of Si(011), it has been confirmed that at the detector angle of 60 to 160 mrad, which is usually applied, the image becomes highly incoherent, and even the image formed only from SOLZ beams becomes incoherent at the detector angle. At a low detector angle, however, the image has coherent features indicating the necessity of a simulation for individual systems.  相似文献
