As widely acknowledged, 40–50% of all melanoma patients harbour an activating BRAF mutation (mostly BRAF V600E). The identification of the RAS–RAF–MEK–ERK (MAP kinase) signalling pathway and its targeting has represented a valuable milestone for the advanced and, more recently, for the completely resected stage III and IV melanoma therapy management. However, despite progress in BRAF-mutant melanoma treatment, the two different approaches approved so far for metastatic disease, immunotherapy and BRAF+MEK inhibitors, allow a 5-year survival of no more than 60%, and most patients relapse during treatment due to acquired mechanisms of resistance. Deep insight into BRAF gene biology is fundamental to describe the acquired resistance mechanisms (primary and secondary) and to understand the molecular pathways that are now being investigated in preclinical and clinical studies with the aim of improving outcomes in BRAF-mutant patients.  相似文献

In this paper, the design, simulation and experimental tests are presented for THROO: a Tracked Hybrid Rover, which has been developed to Overpass Obstacles. The proposed mobile robot has 3-DOFs and it is capable of straight motion, turning ability and two operations, namely rover-like motion with tracks on flat terrain and walking-like motion with track and legs to overpass obstacles to move on uneven terrain. The leg mechanism is composed of a four-bar linkage, which has been synthesized according to the desired features. In particular, the Burmester problem, which aims at finding the geometric parameters of a four-bar linkage required for a prescribed set of finitely separated poses are solved for the case understudy. Dynamic simulations have been carried out and a prototype has been built. The proposed results show the hybrid rover ability to overpass obstacles, for which size is comparable or greater than the track high.  相似文献

Personalized health (p-health) systems can contribute significantly to the sustainability of healthcare systems, though their feasibility is yet to be proven. One of the problems related to their development is the lack of well-established development tools for this domain. As the p-health paradigm is focused on patient self-management, big challenges arise around the design and implementation of patient systems. This paper presents a reference platform created for the development of these applications, and shows the advantages of its adoption in a complex project dealing with cardio-vascular diseases.  相似文献

In this paper we present the results of XPS study of the surface chemistry of L-CVD SnO2 thin films onto Si(100) before and after subsequent additional oxidation. Moreover, the ageing effect was also studied in order to check the influence of ambient oxidation. As-deposited L-CVD SnO2 thin films exhibit evident nonstoichiometry with the relative concentration [O]/[Sn] equal to 1.29 ± 0.1. After in situ oxidation at high temperature (800 K) the relative concentration [O]/[Sn] increases to 1.95 ± 0.05 which corresponds to the almost stoichiometric SnO2. Almost the same relative concentration [O]/[Sn] of L-CVD SnO2 thin films has been obtained after long term exposure to air. The oxidation states of L-CVD SnO2 thin films in both cases were confirmed by the shape analysis of corresponding XPS O1s and Sn3d5/2 peaks using the decomposition procedure. For the as-deposited L-CVD SnO2 thin films a mixture of SnO and SnO2 was observed, while for the oxidized L-CVD SnO2 thin films the domination of SnO2 was determined.  相似文献

In this paper we present the results of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) characterisation of the surface morphology of the L-CVD SnO2 thin films prepared by L-CVD technology and studied after exposure to air, dry air oxidation, and ion beam profiling. The L-CVD SnO2 thin films after air exposure have a very smooth surface morphology with an average surface roughness (RMS) smaller than 0.5 nm, and average and maximal grain heights of about 1 and 2 nm, respectively. After dry air oxidation the L-CVD SnO2 thin films exhibit an average surface roughness (RMS), as well as the average and maximal grain height, increased by one order of magnitude. Finally, after the ion beam profiling the L-CVD SnO2 thin films exhibit an evidently disordered structure with a lot of craters. These experiments showed that the L-CVD SnO2 thin films exhibit a very high quality surface morphology, what can be useful for solar cells and gas sensors application.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to perform an energetic-exergetic comparison between two micro-cogenerative (CHP) units for residential applications, based on Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) respectively. Such systems, both fed by natural gas, are dedicated to electricity and heat production for typical residential users. Simulations of two zero-dimensional models in Aspen Plus environment have been conducted in order to perform the comparison. Results obtained by the simulations have been compared on the basis of the First and the Second Law efficiencies aiming to find the most advantageous technology for small residential applications. Results analyses indicate that the PEMFC-based CHP system, operating at atmospheric pressure and low temperature, is the most efficient system.  相似文献

By means of theory and experiments, the application capability of nickel ditelluride (NiTe2) transition‐metal dichalcogenide in catalysis and nanoelectronics is assessed. The Te surface termination forms a TeO2 skin in an oxygen environment. In ambient atmosphere, passivation is achieved in less than 30 min with the TeO2 skin having a thickness of about 7 Å. NiTe2 shows outstanding tolerance to CO exposure and stability in water environment, with subsequent good performance in both hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions. NiTe2‐based devices consistently demonstrate superb ambient stability over a timescale as long as one month. Specifically, NiTe2 has been implemented in a device that exhibits both superior performance and environmental stability at frequencies above 40 GHz, with possible applications as a receiver beyond the cutoff frequency of a nanotransistor.  相似文献

Magnetic crystals formed by 2D layers interacting by weak van der Waals forces are currently a hot research topic. When these crystals are thinned to nanometric size, they can manifest strikingly different magnetic behavior compared to the bulk form. This can be the result of, for example, quantum electronic confinement effects, the presence of defects, or pinning of the crystallographic structure in metastable phases induced by the exfoliation process. In this work, an investigation of the magnetism of micromechanically cleaved CrCl3 flakes with thickness >10 nm is performed. These flakes are characterized by superconducting quantum interference device magnetometry, surface-sensitive X-ray magnetic circular dichroism, and spatially resolved magnetic force microscopy. The results highlight an enhancement of the CrCl3 antiferromagnetic interlayer interaction that appears to be independent of the flake size when the thickness is tens of nanometers. The estimated exchange field is 9 kOe, representing an increase of ≈900% compared to the one of the bulk crystals. This effect can be attributed to the pinning of the high-temperature monoclinic structure, as recently suggested by polarized Raman spectroscopy investigations in thin (8–35 nm) CrCl3 flakes.  相似文献
