The application of fibers associated with drugs is a promising alternative to meet the clinical needs of tissue repair. Curcumin exhibits great cicatricial potential because it has numerous pharmacological properties. This research aimed to produce fibers of polycaprolactone and copolymer F-108 associated with curcumin and to evaluate in vivo their action on the process of wound healing. The fibers were produced by electrospinning technique and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), and fluorescence microscopy. They were applied in cutaneous wounds of rats for the analysis of photoacoustic permeation and histological study. The characterization showed that the electrospinning allowed the preparation of homogeneous material with curcumin. The fibers benefited healing of the wounds and allowed the permeation of curcumin at all stages. The use of PCL/F-108 fibers allowed the elaboration of a new curcumin delivery system, improving its bioavailability and action in the healing of excisional wound. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. The enteric nervous system plays a role on the stimulation of secretory cells of intestinal epithelia. We have demonstrated that ablation of ENS stimulates epithelial cell proliferation. As goblet cells are important constituents of the epithelial sheet, it is mandatory to investigate separately this cell type. The myenteric plexus of the ileum of rats in postnatal development was partially removed by the serosal application of benzalkonium chloride (BAC). Three groups of animals were used: those where BAC application was at 13 days and sacrifice was at 15 (13/28-day-old) or 23 days after treatment (13/36-day-old), and those where BAC was applied at 21 days and rats were killed 15 days after treatment (21/36-day-old) . The number of goblet cells in the ileum was estimated in sections stained by periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) histochemistry. In the 13/28 and 21/36 groups, the number of goblet cells was significantly higher after BAC treatment. These results suggest that the myenteric denervation may have an acute effect on the number of goblet cell in suckling and weanling rats, probably through submucous plexus. 相似文献

In this paper, we report on the optical characterizations of erbium-doped yttrium alumino-borate glassy thin films prepared by the polymeric precursor and sol-gel routes and the spin-coating technique. High quality planar waveguides were produced by a multilayer processing of Y1−xErxAl3(BO3)4 compositions with x = 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.30, and 0.50. Their optical properties were investigated using transmission, photoluminescence, and m-lines spectroscopy, whereas high resolution scanning electron microscopy (HR-SEM) was applied to check film thickness and surface homogeneity. The refractive indices determined from transmission and m-lines spectroscopy are in good agreement just like the film thickness measured by HR-SEM and transmission spectroscopy. We observed low propagation losses, together with efficient photoluminescence emission for polymeric precursor thin films, involving low cost and environment friendly reactants. 相似文献

Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) is a technique based on the use of a physical barrier that isolates the region of bone regeneration from adjacent tissues. The objective of this study was to compare GBR, adopting a critical-size defect model in rat calvaria and using collagen membrane separately combined with two filling materials, each having different resorption rates. A circular defect 8?mm in diameter was made in the calvaria of Wistar rats. The defects were then filled with calcium sulfate (CaS group) or deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM group) and covered by resorbable collagen membrane. The animals were killed 15, 30, 45 and 60 days after the surgical procedure. Samples were collected, fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde and processed for paraffin embedding. The resultant sections were stained with H&E for histological and histomorphometric study. For the histomorphometric study, the area of membrane was quantified along with the amount of bone formed in the region of the membrane. Calcium sulfate was reabsorbed more rapidly compared to DBBM. The CaS group had the highest percentages of remaining membrane at 15, 30, 45 and 60 days, compared to the DBBM group. The DBBM group had the highest amount of new bone at 45 and 60 days compared to the CaS group. Based on these results, it was concluded that the type of filling material may influence both the resorption of collagen membrane and amount of bone formed. 相似文献

We describe the growth of high quality transparent fibers of pure and Nd-doped YAlO3 from unreacted pedestals (green rods) by the laser heated pedestal growth technique. The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the fibers are monocrystalline, with a distorted Pnma perovskite structure and grow along 0 1 0 direction (b axis). In this work, multi-wavelength laser action is demonstrated for these fibers in the two main laser channels of Nd3+ ions. In the 4F3/2 → 4I11/2 laser transition, low threshold multi-wavelength laser emission is obtained at wavelengths of 1065, 1073 and 1081 nm. Additionally, for the first time in LHPG grown YAlO3 fibers, laser action in the 4F3/2 → 4I13/2 transition is demonstrated at a wavelength of 1341 nm. 相似文献

The magnetoelectric (ME) properties of PbZr0.65Ti0.35O3–BaFe12O19 (PZT–BaM) multiferroic ceramic composites have been investigated in this work. These materials, containing both the ferroelectric PZT and ferrimagnetic BaM phases, were prepared from the conventional solid‐state reaction method, and their main (micro)structural characteristics are provided. The ME measurements were performed over wide frequency and temperature ranges, and the influence of the BaM content was appraised. An enhanced ME coefficient (α) was obtained for the applied magnetic field of 0.8 kOe, at 97 kHz. In addition, the results reveal a high thermal stability of α in the whole analyzed temperature range, showing that the studied PZT‐based ceramic composites have great potential for practical applications. 相似文献
