In this study, the effect of Co addition on microstructural and mechanical properties of WC-B4C–SiC composites sintered by spark plasma sintering (SPS) method was investigated. For this purpose, three batches of WC-B4C–SiC with different contents of Co (10 vol%, 15 vol%, and 20 Vol %) were sintered at 1400 °C. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of the samples indicated the formation of W2B5, W3CoB3 as well as the remained C phases and unreacted SiC phase. It was observed that by increasing the Co content, the amount of W2B5 phase reduces and W3CoB3 and C contents increase. Therefore, W2B5 peaks were not detected in the sample containing 20vol% Co. Relative density values above 97% were obtained for all the composites. However, a decrease was observed in relative density by increasing the Co content in the composites. The highest flexural strength (510 ± 42 MPa), fracture toughness (10.34 ± 0.82 MPa m1/2), and hardness (20.63 ± 0.75 GPa) were also obtained for the sample containing 10vol% Co compared to the other samples. In addition, Transgranular fracture of SiC as well as pulling out of W3CoB3 and W2B5 particles were observed in the fracture surface micrographs of the samples. The presence of micro-cracks in the SiC grains, fracture of W3CoB3 grains, and crack deflection was reported as dominant toughening mechanisms.  相似文献

Individuals, (media-) organisations, and crisis responders who are involved in ad hoc crisis communication steadily deploy social media to contribute to collective sense-making as an endeavour to create meaning in highly uncertain situations. Exerting sense-giving in order to shape others’ conceptions is causally preceded by an initial breakup of existing understanding. This study aims to explore patterns of sense-breaking in social media crisis communication and its impact on collective sense-making and sense-giving. To this end, we conducted a case study of the Manchester bombing in 2017, including a social network analysis of 708,147 Twitter postings and a content analysis of 2006 original tweets. We found individual role types to be initiators of sense-breaking in early crisis stages when uncertainty is at its height. Exerting successive sense-giving becomes more challenging if the collective sense-making has progressed along with the sequence of events. This understanding aims to encourage emergency management organisations to move their sense-giving actions closer to the point in time when sense-breaking occurs.  相似文献

A comprehensive computational fluid dynamic model has been developed using COMSOL Multiphysics 5.4 software to predict the behavior of a membrane reactor in dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane for hydrogen production. A reliable reaction kinetic of dehydrogenation reaction and a permeation mechanism of hydrogen through silica membrane have been used in computational fluid dynamic modeling. For performance comparison, an equivalent traditional fixed bed reactor without hydrogen removal has been also modeled. After model validation, it has been used to evaluate the operating parameters effect on the performance of both the silica membrane reactor and the equivalent traditional reactor as well. The operating temperature ranged between 473 and 553 K, pressure between 1 and 2.5 bar, sweep factor from ?6.22 to 25 and feed flow rate from 1 to 5 × 10?6 mol/s. The membrane reactor performed better than the equivalent traditional reactor, achieving as best result complete methylcyclohexane conversion and 96% hydrogen recovery.  相似文献

Opopanax gum/gelatin nanofibre was produced by the electrospinning method, and the efficiency of this new technique for encapsulation of garlic essential oil was investigated. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy results showed the physical and weak interactions between opopanax gum and gelatin, as well as the improvement of their thermal stability in the nanofibres structure. Incorporating 10% garlic essential oil based on biopolymer weight in nanofibres was considered the best percentage. The results confirmed the presence of garlic essential oil in the nanofibres and the improvement of its thermal stability by entrapment to the nanofibre structure. The data of analysis of the stability of garlic essential oil in the forms of free and encapsulated conditions showed that its stability increased at 25 °C from 20 days to more than 60 days. It indicated the efficiency of opopanax gum/gelatin nanofibres as an applicable coating material for stability enhancement of essential oils.  相似文献

Today, organizations try to decline academically expenses using humans and resources in addition to rising managers and operators' satisfaction. Meantime, a very important step in the process of decision is the assignment of human resources, particularly in connection with research and development (R&D) projects in which the system is highly dependent on the capabilities of human resources. In this study, we tried all the assumptions that come true in the real world, considered a model for applied R&D projects to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of projects. Therefore, an integrated multiproject scheduling and multiskill human resource assignment model under uncertainty has developed for R&D projects. Furthermore, it is assumed that the activity processing time is related to human resources assignment that means the learning effect is considered. To demonstrate the proposed model efficiency, the various dimensions instance problem was solved accurately and efficiently in GAMS software, and the results have been reported. In addition, the proposed model is validated through the input parameter sensitivity analysis. The results indicate a suitable performance of the proposed fuzzy mathematical programming model is due to the complexity of the problem.  相似文献

Steel plate shear walls (SPSWs) are an efficient lateral force-resisting system, and can be designed with corrugated and/or perforated infill plates, depending on structural considerations, architectural requirements, and service design. This paper presents a study on the structural performance of SPSWs with horizontal trapezoidal corrugations and centrally-placed square perforations under monotonic loading. Finite element models were developed for assessment of the buckling stability, stiffness, strength, and ductility performances of the shear walls. To this end, parametric studies were performed by considering the web-plate corrugation angle, thickness, and size of opening as the varying parameters in the nonlinear pushover analyses. It was found that the design of the boundary frame members can be effective in minimizing the deformations imposed by infill plates, providing system ductility, and developing lateral load resistance through stable development of diagonal tension-field action in the web plate. The effects of introducing web-plate perforations, and increasing the size of the opening, on the structural performance were also investigated. Proper design and detailing of the SPSW, along with optimal selection of the web-plate geometrical and corrugation parameters, can ensure desirable structural behavior and seismic performance for such lateral force-resisting systems.  相似文献
