Current modelling systems adequately support either modelling of parts or modelling of assemblies, whereas ideal modelling systems should adequately support both. To achieve this, a new modelling system has been developed, which uses enhanced multiple-view feature modelling. This advanced modelling approach provides specialised interpretations of a product for different development phases, by means of so-called feature views, and ways to keep these interpretations consistent, i.e. to make sure that they all represent the same product. The paper concentrates on the views that support detail design of parts and assembly design of the whole product, and the way these views are related and kept consistent. It describes the features and the tools that can be used to build and maintain the feature models of the views. An example modelling session is given to illustrate the benefits of such integrated modelling.  相似文献

We describe the implementation of a blending facility in the context of a feature modelling system where solid and feature-based modelling operations can be utilized in parallel during the design process of a part. The definition of blends can be done in a graphical user interface by selecting edges to be blended. Feature recognition of blends facilitates the definition process of blends. Alternatively, a special feature editor can be used to add blends to the feature model. The particular implementation style chosen gives rise to aflexible and easy-to-use modelling tool.  相似文献

To allow a designer to focus on the information that is relevant for a particular product development phase, is an important aspect of integral product development. Unlike current modelling systems, multiple-view feature modelling can adequately support this, by providing an own view on a product for each phase. Each view contains a feature model of the product specific for the corresponding phase. An approach to multiple-view feature modelling is presented that supports conceptual design, assembly design, part detail design and part manufacturing planning. It does not only provide views with form features to model single parts, as previous approaches to multiple-view feature modelling did, but also a view with conceptual features, to model the product configuration with functional components and interfaces between these components, and a view with assembly features, to model the connections between components. The general concept of this multiple-view feature modelling approach, the functionality of the four views, and the way the views are kept consistent, are described.  相似文献

依据实体造型的特点,从模型空间的特征层入手,搜寻模型空间中的简单形状特征,并根据造型特点获取单个特征在零件模型上的几何拓扑关系,从而实现形状特征的自动识别.通过分析特征实体造型,提出一种基于实体模型的产品形状特征识别方法,并结合微波器件产品开发特征参数提取模块,实现复杂零件模型形状特征的自动识别与提取.该方法为快速建立企业零件库提供途径,也为网络环境下的协同设计和数据共享奠定基础.  相似文献

Recognizing manufacturing features from a design-by-feature model   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper presents a methodology for recognizing manufacturing features from a design feature model. The common feature-feature interacting relationships are categorized. A feature recognition processor first translates the design feature model of a part into an intermediate manufacturing feature tree by handling design features according to their properties and the interacting relationships between features. Through combination, decomposition, and (tool approach direction) TAD-led operations, alternative interpretations of manufacturing feature model for the part are then generated, and the manufacturing feature tree is updated and extended with AND/OR operators to store these interpretations. Finally, a single interpretation with the lowest machining cost will be selected in the manufacturing feature tree. The proposed processor can support a dynamic and effective recognition process of manufacturing features during the design stage of a part. By defining the interactions between volumetric features elaborately, and utilizing design features and auxiliary information, the processor can recognize manufacturing features from complex parts. The processor recognizes not only some essential manufacturing features but also replicate, compound and transition features defined in STEP. 判定脱模方向是实现模具自动设计的第一步,也是评估塑件或浇注件能否模具成型的重要因素,文中以基于广义痕迹的自动特征识别方法来识别塑件模型中的所有特征。首先,通过确定每类塑件特征的候选和可行脱模方向,针对每个识别出的特征,自动产生该特候选的脱模方向,然后把所有具有机或完全相反的候选的脱模方向组成一组,并对每组方向,进行选定的模具因子计算,最终胡定优选的脱模方向。实例测试表明,本文提出的方法具有很高的效  相似文献
