文件系统与多数据库系统集成是解决多个分布的异构数据源数据共享的必由之路。本文在对文件系统与多数据库系统集成中的问题进行分析的基础上,提出利用可扩展置标语言XML来实现文件系统与多数据库系统集成,并且提出了一种面向XML Schema的公共数据模型XIDM。XIDM能较好描述无结构化和半结构化数据的数据,建立在一系列XML标准的基础上,具有较强的实用性和通用性。文章还对目前XML的查询语言进行了讨论,确定将扩展的XML-QL作为配合XIDM的查询语言。  相似文献

The problem of merging multiple sources information is central in many information processing areas such as databases integrating problems, multiple criteria decision making, expert opinion pooling, etc. Recently, several approaches have been proposed to merge propositional bases, or sets of (non-prioritized) goals. These approaches are in general semantically defined. Like in belief revision, they use implicit priorities, generally based on Dalal's distance, for merging the propositional bases and return a new propositional base as a result. An immediate consequence of the generation of a propositional base is the impossibility of decomposing and iterating the fusion process in a coherent way with respect to priorities since the underlying ordering is lost. This paper presents a general approach for fusing prioritized bases, both semantically and syntactically, when priorities are represented in the possibilistic logic framework. Different classes of merging operators are considered depending on whether the sources are consistent, conflicting, redundant or independent. We show that the approaches which have been recently proposed for merging propositional bases can be embedded in this setting. The result is then a prioritized base, and hence the process can be coherently decomposed and iterated. Moreover, this encoding provides a syntactic counterpart for the fusion of propositional bases.  相似文献

This paper explores the role of product safety and liability in the early stages of product design in a concurrent engineering environment. The paper presents an overview of literature pertaining to the significance of product liability for manufacturers. Further, the paper presents a system approach to product safety, a conceptual framework for design for safety and liability, and a product safety program, which covers the three safety techniques of Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. The focus of the paper, in terms of incorporating safety in the product, is on design, manufacturing, and providing warnings. The example of a disc braking system is presented and discussed in order to explain, test, and validate the model and methodology. The developmental aspects of product safety are considered and a Knowledge Based Management System (KBMS) is developed. The KBMS is capable of integrating data bases and knowledge bases into a system that generates form design features. These design features also contain product safety attributes. Finally, the paper presents conclusions and an assessment of the results and provides additional perspectives.  相似文献

Integrating ontologies and rules on the Semantic Web enables software agents to interoperate between them; however, this leads to two problems. First, reasoning services in SWRL (a combination of OWL and RuleML) are not decidable. Second, no studies have focused on distributed reasoning services for integrating ontologies and rules in multiple knowledge bases. In order to address these problems, we consider distributed reasoning services for ontologies and rules with decidable and effective computation. In this paper, we describe multiple order-sorted logic programming that transfers rigid properties from knowledge bases. Our order-sorted logic contains types (rigid sorts), non-rigid sorts, and unary predicates that distinctly express essential sorts, non-essential sorts, and non-sortal properties. We formalize the order-sorted Horn-clause calculus for such properties in a single knowledge base. This calculus is extended by embedding rigid-property derivation for multiple knowledge bases, each of which can transfer rigid-property information from other knowledge bases. In order to enable the reasoning to be effective and decidable, we design a query-answering system that combines order-sorted linear resolution and rigid-property resolution as top-down algorithms.  相似文献

We extend a dynamic approach of behavior generation to the representation of spatial information. Two levels of dynamics integrate dead-reckoning, dominant far from home bases, and piloting, dominant near home bases. When the view-based piloting system recognizes a home base, visual place information recalibrates the dead-reckoning system, inverting the hierarchical ordering of the two dynamic levels by time scale inversion. Reference views taken at discrete home bases are recognized invariantly under rotation of views. This process yields compass information. Continuous translational information is obtained as a neural place representation built from view correlations with a scattered set of local views. This self-calibrating cognitive map couples into a dynamics of heading direction integrating the behaviors of obstacle avoidance and target acquisition. Targets can be designated in terms of the cognitive map. We demonstrate the dynamical model in simulation.  相似文献

The paper presents an integrated knowledge-based system aimed at providing technical support to engineers performing assessment and management of remaining life of the high-temperature pressurized components, mainly piping, in power plants. The system (ESR) is being developed at MPA Stuttgart (Germany) with support and under sponsorship of seven European electric utility companies. The initial requirements imposed by the utilities have been met by integrating various sources of knowledge, information, and data, as well as various information technology tools and techniques. The expert system modules use both production rules and object-oriented programming (decision/analysis support) and rely strongly on other integrated software: hypermedia (documentation base and explanation facility), numerics (engineering calculi), and data bases (material, standard geometries, etc.).  相似文献

We describe a prototype system, IKARUS, with which we investigated the potential of integrating web-based documents, shared knowledge bases, and information retrieval for improving knowledge storage and retrieval. As an example, we discuss how to implement both a user manual and an online help system as one system. The following technologies are combined: a web-based design, a frame-based knowledge engine, use of an advanced full-text search engine, and simple techniques to control terminology. We have combined graphical browsing with several unusual forms of text retrieval—for example, to the sentence and paragraph level.  相似文献

Ontology-based data-centric systems support open-world reasoning. Therefore, for these systems, Web Ontology Language (OWL) and Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) are not suitable for expressing integrity constraints based on the closed-world assumption. Thus, the requirement of integrating the open-world assumption of OWL/SWRL with closed-world integrity constraint checking is inevitable. SPARQL, recommended by World Wide Web (W3C), is a query language for RDF graphs, and many research studies have shown that it is a perfect candidate for closed-world constraint checking for ontology-based data-centric applications. In this regard, many research studies have been performed to transform integrity constraints into SPARQL queries where some studies have shown the limitations of partial expressivity of knowledge bases while performing the indirect transformations, whereas others are limited to a platform-specific implementation. To address these issues, this paper presents a flexible and formal methodology that employs Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) to model closed-world integrity constraints for open-world reasoning. The proposed approach offers semantic validation of data by expressing integrity constraints at both the model level and the code level. Moreover, straightforward transformations from OWL/SWRL to SPARQL can be performed. Finally, the methodology is demonstrated via a real-world case study of water observations data.  相似文献
