During sintering of the silica-based ceramic core of turbine blades, a phenomenon called “nonuniform sintering” occurs that negatively affects the thermal and mechanical properties of the core. Standard samples of silica-based core were prepared by an injection molding method and sintered with alumina backfilling powder with different sodium contents. The effect of sodium content on the nonuniform sintering of silica-based cores and the thermal and mechanical properties was evaluated. Results show that the sintering level and the content of α-cristobalite in the surface layer are significantly higher than that of the sample interior. A considerable number of microcracks are found in the surface layer due to the β to α-phase transition of cristobalite. As the sodium content in the alumina powder decreases, the level of the nonuniform sintering and the amount of crystallized cristobalite in the surface layer decrease, which is beneficial to the thermal expansion and flexural strength at ambient temperature. The flexural strength and thermal deformation at high temperature are improved by reducing the surface cracks, but deteriorated with the decrease of the cristobalite crystallization when the surface cracks are macroscopically invisible.
相似文献The 2024 aluminum alloy was prepared with different ultrasonic processes. Effects of ultrasonic treatment parameters including ultrasonic power, treatment time, treatment temperature, and frequency resonance, as well as C2Cl6 degasser on degassing of the 2024 aluminum alloy were investigated. Results indicate that increasing ultrasonic power at the same ultrasonic treatment time can improve the degassing effect. The optimum degassing efficiency can be obtained under the resonant ultrasound condition. With the combination of 1% C2Cl6 addition and 150 W ultrasonic treatment for 40 s, the hydrogen content of the alloy is decreased by 52.9%. At the same time, the tensile strength and elongation are increased by 28.3% and 92.3%, respectively, and the yield strength is slightly increased by 6.7%. The degassing mechanism is also discussed.
相似文献K416B Ni-based superalloy with high W content has good high temperature properties and low cost, which has a great development potential. To investigate the room temperature tensile property and the deformation feature of K416B superalloy, tensile testing at room temperature was carried out, and optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to analyze the deformation and damage mechanisms. Results show that the main room temperature tensile deformation features of the K416B nickel-based superalloy are dislocations slipping in the matrix and shearing into γ′ phase. The <110> super-dislocations shearing into γ′ phase can form the anti-phase boundary two coupled (a/2)<110> partial-dislocations or decompose into the configuration of two (a/3)<112> partial dislocations plus stacking fault. In the later stage of tensile testing, the slip-lines with different orientations are activated in the grain, causing the stress concentration in the regions of block carbide or the porosity, and cracks initiate and propagate along these regions.
