Rainbow over the Internet: How Internet use curtails homophobia in China

China, despite its rapid economic modernization and the lack of powerful conservative institutions, is not known for embracing diverse sexual orientation. The present study investigates whether and how Internet use, a increasingly important part of contemporary people's daily life, leads to changes in people's attitudes toward homosexuality in China, and relevant policy implications. Analyzing the Chinese General Social Survey data from 2010 to 2015, this paper develops an ordered probit model to quantify the influence of Internet use on homosexuality tolerance, adopts a substitution variable method to conduct the robustness check, and utilizes instrument variables to address the potential endogeneity in the regressions. The results show that Internet use has a significant positive impact on Chinese people's homosexuality tolerance. Further studies have found that the influence of Internet use on homosexuality tolerance is also heterogeneous to different populations. Besides, compared with traditional media, the Internet has a more significant impact on homosexuality tolerance. This paper provides some explanations for the rise in China's homosexuality tolerance from 2010 to 2015, and additional impetus for the international community to push for a liberal Internet policy in China.     

仿人机器人的机械结构设计与控制系统构建

文章研发了一款适用于机器人教育教学的多功能、多用途、普适性的19自由度的小型仿人机器人,主要完成了该机器人的机械结构设计与控制系统构建工作[1]。所设计的机器人机械结构可靠性高、工艺性好、结构紧凑、样式新颖；所构建的机器人控制系统鲁棒性高、稳定性好、控制准确、反应迅速,圆满地实现了预期的设计任务。通过对优缺点的综合对比,得出组合式构型方案在功能性、实用性和稳定性等方面具有明显优势,有望通过后续软件系统的开发提高其运动效能,真正在青少年机器人教育中发挥重要作用[2]。     

Studies on the effect of temperature and time on the SS 304 surface for the properties degradation of the solar collector

The properties of emissivity (?) and absorptivity (α) of the surface of the material is an essential output for the solar collector. This paper highlights the work based on the RSM design expert, to study the effect of parameters’ temperature and time when the surface is exposed to sunlight and absorbing the properties of emissivity and absorptivity of the material SS 304. The temperature range of the SS 304 varied from 20°C to 356°C for various time intervals from 90 to 1100?h. From this experimental work, it is clearly seen that the emissivity rate increased when the surface is focused onto sunlight beyond the saturated level. The absorptivity of the surface of SS 304 increases till the optimum level and reaches the saturated level. As a result, after the optimum level, emissivity rate of the surface increases, and absorptivity of the surface decreases when it is focused onto sunlight.

Multi-innovation auto-constructed least squares identification for 4 DOF ship manoeuvring modelling with full-scale trial data

This research is concerned with the problem of 4 degrees of freedom (DOF) ship manoeuvring identification modelling with the full-scale trial data. To avoid the multi-innovation matrix inversion in the conventional multi-innovation least squares (MILS) algorithm, a new transformed multi-innovation least squares (TMILS) algorithm is first developed by virtue of the coupling identification concept. And much effort is made to guarantee the uniformly ultimate convergence. Furthermore, the auto-constructed TMILS scheme is derived for the ship manoeuvring motion identification by combination with a statistic index. Comparing with the existing results, the proposed scheme has the significant computational advantage and is able to estimate the model structure. The illustrative examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, especially including the identification application with full-scale trial data.     

飞机结构强度试验局部约束装置设计

采用加载夹具对中央翼接头加载过程中,由于中央翼发生航向变形,垂向和侧向载荷在航向产生载荷分量,容易对接头造成损伤。因此设计一种局部约束装置,通过卡板把该装置安装在中央翼上,限制夹具与接头之间的相对变形,使航向载荷分量通过约束装置传递至中央翼盒段,以保证接头的安全。     

基于粒子群优化算法的五自由度机械臂轨迹规划

为了让机械臂的工作时间达到最优,以自主研发的抛光机器人样机为研究对象,针对手表表壳表耳部分的抛光过程,提出PSO算法对五自由度机械臂轨迹规划进行优化,并通过MATLAB软件进行机械臂的仿真与分析。仿真结果表明,基于PSO算法的轨迹规划使机械臂在工作过程中加加速度不会产生突变,运动轨迹精度高,机械臂工作时间达到最优。     

逻辑的真实与形式的自由——上海美特斯邦威总部、大学、博物馆综合体设计

通过对上海美特斯邦威总部、大学、博物馆综合体项目设计的介绍,提出了对于现代建筑设计的理解——设计逻辑的真实和建筑形式的自由,即设计中重视建筑的逻辑关系,强调功能、环境、材料、经济等内容之间的关联,追求真实的表达;建筑的形式不受固有思想的羁绊,在真实反映建筑逻辑关系的情况下,自由表现形体和空间。     

开合屋盖结构行走机构的应用研究

介绍了开合屋盖建筑的现状和发展趋势 ,在此基础上着重就这种结构的难点问题———行走机构问题进行了专门的研究 ,从行走机构的约束及自由度入手 ,根据轮轨连接的方式对行走机构进行了分类 ,提出了各种行走方案的选用原则和适用范围 ,并利用大量的工程实例加以说明。研究成果对实际开合屋盖建筑中行走机构设计具有直接的指导意义。     

弹性SDOF系统的地震输入能量谱

本文以4种场地土条件下40条强震记录为输入,对弹性单自由度(SDOF)系统的地震输入能量谱进行了研究。首先研究了SDOF系统参数和地面运动参数对弹性地震输入能量谱的影响。结果表明,在中长周期范围,弹性SDOF系统的阻尼比和地面运动强度对能量谱峰值有较大影响;在长周期范围,随弹性SDOF系统阻尼比的增大,能量谱值也有所增大。随后,采用归一化能量谱方法,并根据能量谱曲线的特征,建议了简化三段式地震输入能量谱。在此基础上,根据4种场地土条件下40条强震记录能量谱计算结果的统计分析,建议了能量谱峰值和能量谱曲线参数的确定方法。
