In recent days, the manufacture of automotive vehicles is dramatically enhanced worldwide. Most vehicle crashes are due to the drive distraction on the real highway roads and traffic-density. In this proposed method, a novel collision detection and avoidance algorithm are coined for Midvehicle Collision Detection and Avoidance System (MCDAS), addressing two scenarios, namely, (a) A rear-end collision avoidance with host vehicle under no front-end vehicle condition and (b) offset-based curvilinear motion under critical conditions, while, suitable parallel parking manoeuvring also addressed using offset-based curvilinear motion. The Monte Carlo analysis of the proposed MCDAS is demonstrated using the Constant Velocity (CV) manoeuvring strategy and simulated with real-time data using the NGSIM database.

Gd and Al co-doped LiMn2-x(GdAl)xO4 (x?=?0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04 and 0.05) materials with spinel structure were synthesized by sol–gel method. Powder X-ray diffraction results confirm the formation of cubic spinel structure and average particle sizes are found to be between 80 and 110?nm from FE-SEM and TEM analysis. Decrease in peak potential difference as a function of doping in Cyclic Voltammetry results establishes enhancement in Li+ intercalation and de-intercalation. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) results showed that accumulation of charges on electrode has improved with doping over pristine samples. At a doping of x?=?0.02 charge transfer resistance values were found to be least. First cycle charge–discharge profiles for LiMn1.96(GdAl)0.02O4 shows 139.2?mAh/g discharge capacity over other doped derivatives and pure LiMn2O4 (119.6?mAh/g) in aqueous Li2SO4 electrolyte. Doping of x?=?0.02 exhibit good cycling performance with only a total 4% capacity loss after 30 cycles.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In recent times, the applications of multimedia are rising in a greedy mode and hence the amount of video transactions is also increasing exponentially. This has shouted great demands on effective models on video encoding and also for reducing the transmission channel congestion. This research work introduces a managing technique termed weighted encoding for High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC). HEVC, also termed as MPEG-H Part 2 and H.265 is a video compression standard that is widely utilized AVC (H.264 or MPEG-4 Part 10). When compared to AVC, HEVC grants double the ratio of data compression at a similar level of quality of the video or considerably enhanced video quality at a similar bit rate. This work intends to optimize the weight that adopted in HEVC for encoding. For this, this paper proposes a new Iterative based propagation update in the water wave Optimization Algorithm (IPU-WWO), which is the improved form of Water wave Optimization (WWO). The performance of proposed IPU-WWO is compared over other conventional methods like Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), Firefly (FF), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) with respect to Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). Multilayer solar selective absorber coatings have been developed in the last few decades. The thermal stability in terms of microstructure gives an insightful understanding of the optical properties of such coatings. In this context, we extensively utilized transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis to establish the thermal stability of TiB2/Ti(B,N)/SiON/SiO2 coating, under thermal cycling/continuous heating to 500°C in vacuum for 250 h. In particular, this work reports the variation in the solar absorptance of TiB2/Ti(B,N)/SiON/SiO2 coating with different angles of incidence of the solar radiation. Extensive analysis using the TEM technique reveals the presence of oxide interlayers that act as diffusion barrier layers to enhance the thermal stability of the coating. Computational simulation using SCOUT software validates the measured reflectance spectrum of the developed multilayer coating. The minor changes in absorptance and emissivity after heat treatment in vacuum at 500°C, together with high solar absorptance over a broad angular variation, establish the potential application of TiB2/Ti(B,N)/SiON/SiO2 as a selective coating in concentrated solar power systems.  相似文献

Current approaches to rocky slope stability analysis require knowledge of the geometrical–structural setting, as well as the physical–mechanical properties of the intact material and its discontinuities. The physical–mechanical properties are derived from in situ and laboratory tests, whereas the geometrical characteristics come from field attitude measurements. Frequently, the inaccessibility of walls does not allow direct measurement of discontinuity surfaces by traditional geological methods. In such cases, data can only be obtained by statistical methods. Although this approach is significant and provides spatial meaning, it is ineffective for deterministic analysis.This paper provides a solution to this problem by applying digital terrestrial photogrammetric techniques employing a reamed bar, an aerostatic balloon and a helicopter. Results demonstrate that the accuracy and the quantity of geometrical and engineering–geological data coming from the photogrammetric survey, allow for numerical simulation of the relationship between rock elements as a function of their physical–mechanical properties and load conditions. The 3DEC code was chosen among the different methods available to model the discontinuous media through distinct elements.The proposed methodology was applied to a quarry located in the Carrara Marble District (the Apuan Alps, Italy), the largest and most exploited mining region in Europe. The economic value of the area required a detailed study of the presence of instability phenomena so that marble extraction could continue in safe conditions.  相似文献

This work presents an electrochemical technique for the polymerization and copolymerization of thiophene derivatives like 7,9-dithiophene-2yl-8H-cyclopenta[a]acenaphthalene-8-one and 3-hexylthiophene. The structural characterization of chemically synthesized monomers and electrochemically synthesized polymers was carried out by nuclear magnetic resonance and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Thermal characterizations indicate that copolymer has increased thermal stability than that of homopolymer. Morphological studies of the polymerized films carried out by scanning electron microscopy shows network structure of copolymer. Optical properties of the homopolymers and copolymer were studied by UV–visible spectrometer and it was observed that band gap of copolymer is less than the homopolymers. HOMO and LUMO levels, band gap values of the respective polymers were also calculated from the cyclic voltammetry technique with various scan rates. By the peak current obtained from various scan rates shows that all polymerization reactions are diffusion controlled process. Charge transfer resistances of polymers were determined using Nyquist plots. Conductivity of synthesized polymers shows higher conductivity for copolymer than homopolymers.  相似文献

Our overall objective was to better understand the effects of added pyruvate on enhanced beef color stability. The 2 possible mechanisms assessed were the role of pyruvate in lipid oxidation and direct interaction between pyruvate and beef myoglobin. Microsomes were incubated with pyruvate at pH 5.6, 25 °C, and lipid oxidation was measured hourly for 3 h. Bovine oxymyoglobin at pH 5.6 was incubated with pyruvate and used to quantify both redox stability (metmyoglobin formation) and pyruvate-myoglobin adduction using mass spectrometry analysis. Surface color and lipid oxidation were measured on ground beef patties stored for 6 d in polyvinyl chloride over-wrap (PVC) or high oxygen. Addition of pyruvate to microsomes decreased lipid oxidation compared with controls (P < 0.05). Conversely, no effect on myoglobin was observed (no changes in redox stability and no peaks corresponding to pyruvate were observed; P > 0.05). However, pyruvate increased color stability and decreased lipid oxidation of ground beef patties packaged in PVC and high oxygen. Pyruvate decreased nitric oxide metmyoglobin-reducing capacity and oxygen consumption of patties compared with controls (P < 0.05). This research suggests that pyruvate may improve beef color stability primarily through its antioxidant effect on lipids. Practical Application: Discoloration of meat often results in significant revenue loss. This study suggests that pyruvate can improve the color stability of patties packaged in high oxygen and PVC primarily through its antioxidant effect on lipids.  相似文献

We present a three-dimensional computational model based on an immersed boundary (IB) method to study the hydrodynamic features of a solid flexible cylindrical rod in a viscous fluid driven at one side by a tiny motor. The elastic rod is modelled by a number of circular cross-sections with twelve IB points on each cross-section. Three types of elastic links are created from each IB point to obtain an elastic network model of the rod and the first cross-section is modelled as the motor part. The elastic forces are computed based on an elastic energy approach and the motor forces are obtained from the applied angular frequency of rotation of the motor. The Stokes equations governing the fluid are solved on a staggered Cartesian grid system using the fractional-step based finite-volume method. Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the three dynamical stages of rod motion-twirling, whirling and overwhirling for different rotational frequency of the motor. It is revealed that for low rotational frequencies, the rod undergoes stable rigid body motion known as twirling. For high rotational frequencies of the motor, it is observed that the rod initially undergoes whirling motion and attains an unstable helical shape. Further, it is noticed that a discontinuous shape transition occurs for the rod and it folds back on itself. This unstable motion is referred to as overwhirling. It is also found that there exists a critical value of angular frequency of rotation of the motor below which the rod is subjected to twirling motion and above which it undergoes overwhirling motion.  相似文献
