A wide band(24-40 GHz)fully integrated balanced low noise amplifier(LNA)using Lange couplers was designed and fabricated with a 0.15/zm pseudomorphic HEMT(pHEMT)technology.A new method to design a low-loss and high-coupling Lange coupler for wide band application in microwave frequency was also presented.This Lange coupler has a minimum loss of 0.09 dB and a maximum loss of 0.2 dB over the bandwidth from 20 to 45 GHz.The measured results show that the realized four-stage balanced LNA using this Lange coupler exhibites a noise figure(NF)of less than 2.7 dB and the maximum gain of 30 dB;moreover,a noticeably improved reflection performance is achieved.The input VSWR and the output VSWR are respectively less than 1.45 and 1.35 dB across the 24-40 GHz frequency range. 相似文献

A new type of waveguide directional coupler is described which has a discharge tube as the coupling element in the common narrow wall between the guides. The use of the discharge tube allows continuous control of the amount of coupling between the guides. The theory of the coupler is given with curves for designing such a coupler. The paper describes the results obtained from a 3-db coupler. Measurements were made at a frequency of 450 Mc, of VSWR, noise output, and switching speed. These show a VSWR of the order of 1.3 over the control range, and an excess noise temperature with a peak of 20,000/spl deg/K at one value of control current. The coupler is capable of switching up to speeds of 1000 cps. 相似文献

提出了一种低驻波的微带均衡器结构,并对该结构进行了理论分析、设计、制作和测试.该结构通过在微带线相隔四分之一波长处放置了2个加载了电阻的微带支节构造而成.测试结果显示,设计衰减量为3 dB,工作频带为3.2 GHz~3.4 GHz的微带均衡器的最小衰减量小于0.4 dB,最大衰减量为2.9 dB,驻波在整个工作频带内低于1.18,测试结果与设计值符合较好. 相似文献

A new class of coupled-transmission-line directional couplers, called "nonsymmetrical directional couplers," is described. Unlike conventional directional couplers, nonsymmetrical directional couplers use coupled lines of unequal characteristic impedances. The principal difference between the performance of nonsymmetrical directional couplers and that of conventional designs is the impedance level of the coupled waves, which may be changed to higher or lower impedance levels than that of the incident wave. These directional couplers may be designed to have infinite directivity and to be matched at all frequencies, or they may be designed to have infinite directivity at all frequencies and a specified maximum VSWR. Coupling relationships and design equations for both cases are presented, and the relative properties of both cases are discussed. The theoretical limitation on the maximum coupling and the maximum impedance transformation that can be obtained simultaneously are derived. Techniques for broadbanding by cascading additional sections of coupled limes are described. Experimental results of a trial --10-dB coupler with coupled lines of 50 and 75 ohms are presented. 相似文献

文章设计了一种可以使用在固态合成发射机上的三路等分功率波导功分器/合路器。在波导分支定向耦合器的基础上,增加一路副线波导,构成了一个一路输入、一路直通、两路耦合、两路隔离的六端口网络;采用增加波导长度的方式解决了实际应用中的相位补偿问题。另外在功分器的三路输出端增加了微带部分以提高功分器的可调试性。实际测量数据基本符合仿真结果:在1GHz带宽内,功分器的一路插损小于6dB,输入驻波小于1.6;合路器的一路插损小于4.9dB,输出驻波小于1.3。其性能满足使用要求。文章最后对该类型的波导功分器/合路器的设计提出若干改进方案。 相似文献

通过对射频测量误差,尤其是在大功率条件下的测量误差进行了深入研究。从理论上详细分析了由于功率源和负载间失配而引起误差的机理,并通过实例对大功率条件下使用衰减器和定向耦合器两种测量方法引起的误差进行分析对比,结果表明:选择端口驻波小的器件和简化测试系统可以有效地降低测量误差,同时要求在工程设计时要尽可能减小输出驻波。 相似文献
