Aging response of transient liquid phase Nb bearing wrought IN718 nickel base superalloy is studied. The aging behaviour of the joint is influenced by low Nb+Al+Ti content of isothermal solidification zone (ISZ) and formation of Nb–Cr–Mo based boride precipitates in diffusion affected zone (DAZ). It was shown that applying a post-bond heat treatment which was able to eliminate the diffusion induced boride precipitates in DAZ and increase the Nb+Al+Ti content of the ISZ improved the aging response and shear strength of the joint.  相似文献

The transient liquid phase (TLP) bonding of CoCuFeMnNi high entropy alloy (HEA) was studied. The TLP bonding was performed using AWS BNi-2 interlayer at 1050 °C with the TLP bonding time of 20, 60, 180 and 240 min. The effect of bonding time on the joint microstructure was characterized by SEM and EDS. Microstructural results confirmed that complete isothermal solidification occurred approximately at 240 min of bonding time. For samples bonded at 20, 60 and 180 min, athermal solidification zone was formed in the bonding area which included Cr-rich boride and Mn3Si intermetallic compound. For all samples, the γ solid solution was formed in the isothermal solidification zone of the bonding zone. To evaluate the effect of TLP bonding time on mechanical properties of joints, the shear strength and micro-hardness of joints were measured. The results indicated a decrement of micro-hardness in the bonding zone and an increment of micro-hardness in the adjacent zone of joints. The minimum and maximum values of shear strength were 100 and 180 MPa for joints with the bonding time of 20 and 240 min, respectively.  相似文献

The effects of joining temperature (TJ) and time (tJ) on microstructure of the transient liquid phase (TLP) bonding of GTD-111 superalloy were investigated. The bonding process was applied using BNi-3 filler at temperatures of 1080, 1120, and 1160 °C for isothermal solidification time of 195, 135, and 90 min, respectively. Homogenization heat treatment was also applied to all of the joints. The results show that intermetallic and eutectic compounds such as Ni-rich borides, Ni−B−Si ternary compound and eutectic-γ continuously are formed in the joint region during cooling. By increasing tJ, intermetallic phases are firstly reduced and eventually eliminated and isothermal solidification is completed as well. With the increase of the holding time at all of the three bonding temperatures, the thickness of the athermally solidified zone (ASZ) and the volume fraction of precipitates in the bonding area decrease and the width of the diffusion affected zone (DAZ) increases. Similar results are also obtained by increasing TJ from 1080 to 1160 °C at tJ=90 min. Furthermore, increasing the TJ from 1080 to 1160 °C leads to the faster elimination of intermetallic phases from the ASZ. However, these phases are again observed in the joint region at 1180 °C. It is observed that by increasing the bonding temperature, the bonding width and the rate of dissolution of the base metal increase. Based on these results, increasing the homogenization time from 180 to 300 min leads to the elimination of boride precipitates in the DAZ and a high uniformity of the concentration of alloying elements in the joint region and the base metal.  相似文献

以BNi-2为中间层对镍基合金进行过渡液相连接,研究连接工艺参数对接头组织和力学性能的影响。随着连接温度的升高或连接时间的延长,沉淀区的富镍和富铬硼化物数量减少,同时沉淀区晶粒尺寸减小。较高的连接温度或较长的连接时间,有利于降熔元素(B和Si)由沉淀区向母材中的扩散和母材与连接接头间的原子互扩散。当连接温度为1170℃、连接时间为24h时,可以获得与母材化学成分及组织基本相当的连接接头。剪切试验结果表明:室温和高温拉剪强度均随着保温时间的延长而增加,但连接时间对高温拉剪强度的影响要大于对室温拉剪强度。  相似文献

Influences of gap size and cyclic-thermal-shock treatment on the mechanical properties of transient liquid phase (TLP) bonded IN-738LC superalloy were investigated. For this purpose, TLP bonding of IN-738LC superalloy was carried out in a vacuum furnace using powdered AMS 4777 as the filler metal. The results showed that isothermal solidified zone (ISZ) consisted of Ni solid-solution and the distribution of alloying elements was homogeneous. High hardness of HV 409 and high shear strength of 506 MPa were observed in 40 μm gap sample. Alloying elements formed γ′ precipitates and the solid-solution in the ISZ. Hardness and shear strength of bonds were reduced with increasing the gap size (in range of 40–120 μm). The fractured surfaces of complete isothermal solidified bonds showed dimpled rupture, but athermal solidified bonds showed cleavage fracture surface. 10, 20, 30 and 40 thermal-shock cycles were applied to 80 μm gap samples, respectively. The shear strength of the bond was measured to be 268 MPa after the 40th thermal-shock cycle. The sample with gap size of 80 μm was failed due to crack nucleation on faying surface at 45th thermal-shock cycle. The amount of the produced brittleness due to quenching the samples in water bath was attributed to the number of thermal-shock cycles.  相似文献

Abstract

The kinetics of dissolution and isothermal solidification at the bonding temperature during diffusion brazing SS304/BNi-2/SS304 has been studied through a combination of analytical modelling and experimental investigations. The modelling is based on the diffusion theory and the consideration of transient motion of liquid/solid interface. A set of coupled finite differential equations has been programmed to track the motion of liquid/solid interface during the isothermal solidification of liquid filler. Four parameters can be mathematically determined from the analytical modelling including the evolution of solute concentration profile, the maximum diffusion distance, and the maximum liquid thickness as well as the time to complete the isothermal solidification. These analyses are helpful to understanding the joining mechanism during diffusion brazing. The temperature dependent diffusion coefficient used in the modelling is derived together with the experimental data from brazing the wedge shaped joint specimen of SS304/BNi-2/SS304. The effects of bonding temperature and initial joint thickness on the joining process have also been investigated.  相似文献

研究了预置镍基合金片对15CrMo/1Cr18Ni9Ti异种钢超窄间隙焊接接头组织及性能的影响。结果表明,预置镍基合金片厚度小于0.6 mm时,15CrMo熔合线附近焊缝区部分区域以A模式凝固并形成奥氏体胞状晶,而其它区域仍以FA模式凝固,其组织为等轴晶奥氏体+枝晶状铁素体,并且焊缝中心无凝固裂纹形成。预置0.9~1.2 mm厚的镍基合金片时,焊缝中心因镍偏聚而以A模式凝固,形成粗大的奥氏体柱状枝晶,并有凝固裂纹形成。预置镍基合金片厚度在0.6~0.9 mm时,可使15CrMo熔合线附近焊缝区的Ni质量分数比填充金属(ER347L)的提高约2%,明显比未预置镍基合金片的接头具有更好的抑制碳扩散效果,但当镍基合金片厚度在0.3~1.2 mm范围内变化时接头抑制碳扩散的效果并无明显变化。焊态的异种钢接头不均匀混合区内存在马氏体层,而热时效后在熔合线附近会形成一定宽度的富碳硬化区及贫碳软化区。  相似文献

An investigation was carried out to assess the applicability of transient liquid phase bonding of two dissimilar super-alloys with different interlayers. The effect of using three types of interlayer such as BNi-2, BNi-3, and BNi-9 on microstructure and mechanical properties was studied in the GTD-111/IN-718 system at 1100 °C for different bonding time. To determine the compositional changes and microstructure in the joint region, field emission scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy was utilized. The formation of Ni3B in the athermally solidified zone (ASZ) is controlled by the B content and, accordingly, the morphology of Ni3Si is governed by the Si content. The Cr content might impede the relocation of B from the interlayer into the base metal and the formation of CrB inside the ASZ is dominated by the Cr content. The high micro-hardness of the eutectic compounds is originated from the formation of boride matrixes such as Ni or Cr boride. The shear strength of the joint using BNi-9 after the completion of isothermal solidification is lower compared that that using BNi-3 and BNi-2, which could be related to the absence of Si in the filler metals constituent and the significant presence of Cr in BNi-9.  相似文献

Microstructure of transient liquid phase( TLP) diffusion bonded a third generation single crystal superalloy joint was investigated using scanning electron microscopy( SEM),and mechanical properties test of joint was carried out,for obtaining relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties of joint. The results showed that the joint contained bonding zone and base metal. The diffusion zone was obviously observed. When it was not finished for isothermal solidification process,the bonding zone would contain isothermal solidification zone and rapid solidification zone. Metallographic examination revealed that isothermal solidification zone was consisted of γ and γ' phase. Rapid solidification zone was consisted of two different structures,which were ternary eutectic of borides,γ and γ' phase developing at the edge of joint,binary eutectic of γ and γ' phase appearing in the portion of joint. When it was not enough for homogenization process under the condition of finishing isothermal solidification process,the bonding zone would contain isothermal solidification zone and borides at the interface. Under the conditions of relatively high welding temperature and long welding time,average tensile strength of joint was equivalent to that of parent material.  相似文献

采用BNi68CrWB钎料粉末对K24和GH648异种高温合金进行钎焊连接,分析了接头典型界面组织,提出了钎焊过程反应机理.结果表明,接头由共晶区、等温凝固区和扩散区组成.共晶区由WB,CrB和镍基固溶体组成,等温凝固区为镍基固溶体,GH648侧扩散区由WB,WxBy,CrxBy,以及沿晶界析出的镍基固溶体和少量的Cr2Ni3相组成,K24侧扩散区与母材差异不明显.钎焊过程由元素富集、母材溶解、等温凝固和共晶凝固四个阶段组成.其中等温凝固阶段是钎焊过程中最关键的阶段,等温凝固不完全时,钎缝中央存在共晶组织,影响接头性能.钎焊温度1 150℃,保温120 min时,等温凝固完全,接头组织均匀,力学性能最优,室温拉剪强度可达323 MPa.  相似文献

本文主要研究采用BNi2非晶态中间层的CB2耐热钢瞬时液相扩散连接接头组织和性能,及焊后热处理对接头组织和性能的影响。富Cr硼化物(CrB, CrB2, Cr2B3, Cr3B4 and Cr5B3)和Cr-Mo硼化物出现在接头的过渡区和扩散影响区,其尺寸和数量在等温凝固完成时达到最大值。随着连接温度和时间的增加,富Cr的硼化物和Cr-Mo硼化物逐渐减少,而BN相逐渐增加。经过焊后热处理后,接头的富Cr硼化物几乎全部消失,而BN相的尺寸和数量增加。在热处理之前,焊接温度为1150°C ,保温时间1800s的接头有最大的拉伸强度为934 MPa,延伸率为5.3%。通过焊后热处理,断裂发生在母材,延伸率提升到20%,而拉伸强度降低到720 MPa。  相似文献

为了探明单晶过渡液相(TLP)扩散焊接头组织与性能的关系,采用扫描电镜(SEM)研究接头微观组织,并进行力学性能测试. 结果表明,接头由连接区和基体区所组成. 当等温凝固过程未完成时,连接区由等温凝固区和快速凝固区组成,而等温凝固区主要由γγ'相组成,快速凝固区主要是由共晶组织组成. 当等温凝固完成而固态均匀化过程不充分时,连接区由等温凝固区和分布在接头中心的硼化物相组成. 采用低温等温凝固,高温固态均匀化的焊接工艺可以获得高性能的接头.  相似文献

采用BNi68CrWB钎料粉末对K24和GH648异种高温合金进行钎焊连接,分析了钎焊温度、保温时间、装配间隙等钎焊工艺参数对接头组织和性能的影响规律.结果表明,在钎焊接头可观察到三个特征组织区域:共晶区、等温凝固区和扩散区;钎焊温度过高,接头内部W-Cr-Ni脆性相增多,接头性能下降.保温时间延长可以促进钎料与母材之间元素的扩散,有利于获得均匀的固溶体组织,接头强度提高,但时间过长,性能略有下降.钎焊间隙在0.05~0.15 mm范围,钎焊温度1 150℃,保温时间30 min所得接头性能较高,约600 MPa.  相似文献

采用Ni-15Cr-3.5B非晶合金箔带作为中间层合金对镍基单晶高温合金进行瞬态液相(TLP)连接. 利用光学显微镜、扫描电镜、透射电镜对接头的微观结构进行观察和分析, 利用电子背散射衍射(EBSD)方法测定了连接区域和基体之间的结晶学取向. 结果表明, 接头区域由连接区、中间金属/基体金属界面扩散区和基体金属区组成, 连接区中心形成M23B6+γ和MB+γ 共晶, 扩散区形成细小的M3B2颗粒; 均匀化处理后接头与基体的γ'相的尺寸趋于一致; TLP接头等温凝固过程中, 固/液界面向液相移动中外延生长, 连接层与所连接的基体金属的结晶学取向一致.  相似文献

The effects of brazing temperature on microstructure and bonding strength of vacuum brazed joints of Ti(C,N)-based cermet and 17-4 PH stainless steel, using filler metal BNi-2, were investigated. At a lower brazing temperature of 1050 °C, the distribution of melting point depressants (MPD) concentrated on the diffusion affected zone (DAZ) and the brazing seam near the Ti(C,N)-based cermet, the generation of brittle phases in the brazing seam was unavoidable. The uniform distribution of the MPD and full solid solution of γ-nickel occurred in the brazing seam at a higher brazing temperature of 1150 °C. A maximum shear strength of 690 MPa was achieved at a brazing temperature of 1150 °C.  相似文献

Transient liquid phase bonding (TLP) of a nickel base superalloy, Waspaloy, was performed to study the influence of holding time and temperature on the joint microstructure. Insufficient holding time for complete isothermal solidification of liquated insert caused formation of eutectic-type microconstituent along the joint centerline region in the alloy. In agreement with prediction by conventional TLP diffusion models, an increase in bonding temperature for a constant gap size, resulted in decrease in the time, tf, required to form a eutectic-free joint by complete isothermal solidification. However, a significant deviation from these models was observed in specimens bonded at and above 1175 °C. A reduction in isothermal solidification rate with increased temperature was observed in these specimens, such that a eutectic-free joint could not be achieved by holding for a time period that produced complete isothermal solidification at lower temperatures. Boron-rich particles were observed within the eutectic that formed in the joints prepared at the higher temperatures. An overriding effect of decrease in boron solubility relative to increase in its diffusivity with increase in temperature, is a plausible important factor responsible for the reduction in isothermal solidification rate at the higher bonding temperatures.  相似文献

In this study, tapered slots with an opening width about 200?μm were artificially fabricated in IN738LC superalloy to imitate service cracks. The ‘cracks’ were repaired by diffusion brazing with a Ni–Cr–Co–Al–Ta–B filler alloy at 1150°C and then heat treated at 1180°C (HT-A) and 1190°C (HT-B), respectively. A joint with uniform microstructure, chemical composition and hardness was obtained using HT-B. The mechanisms of the borides evolution during homogenisation were discussed. The tensile strength of the HT-B joint tested at 20, 600 and 800°C reached up to approximately 96, 90 and 87% of the base metal, respectively. The fracture modes of the joints tensile tested at various temperatures were discussed.  相似文献
