Achieving communication security, along with high computational efficiency, is one of the challenging issues in the advancement of modern resource constraint wireless networks. Wireless physical layer secure key extraction in conjunction with suitable preprocessing techniques may be a possible way out. Principal component analysis (PCA) is one of the dimensionality reduction techniques employed commonly in various domains for different applications. However, the physical layer secure key extraction employing PCA as dimensionality reduction is untouched so far. This paper presents a comprehensive study on PCA based wireless secret key extraction with real-time experimentation. In this work, we propose to apply PCA as a preprocessing technique to reduce the total number of numerical computations required in the key generation process, by cutting down the dimension of the input data set. We propose to select the extracted principal components to be processed further for key generation, based on their information content and cross-correlation. We analyzed the performance of the proposed in terms of bit disagreement rate, key randomness and pass ratio. The computational complexity of the proposed approach is derived and the effect of dimensionality reduction factor (\({\mathbf{R}}_{\mathbf{f}}\)) on the required numerical computations is analyzed. It is found that substantial improvement in bit disagreement performance is achieved along with a significant reduction in the required numerical computations. Remarkably, these outcomes are achieved by slightly modifying one of the blocks of the traditional key generation system. Furthermore, the practicability of the proposed technique is verified through real-time experimentation in different physical scenarios.

Novel lead-free (1-x)Ba0·9Ca0·1Ti0·9Zr0·1O3-xSrNb2O6 ceramics were synthesized via a two-step high energy ball milling process. The evolution of microstructural properties, phase transformation, and energy storage characteristics was comprehensively investigated to assess the applicability of material in multi-layered ceramic capacitors. The substitution of SrNb2O6 (SNO) in Ba0·9Ca0·1Ti0·9Zr0·1O3 (BTCZ) has resulted in substantial improvement in materials density along with a small increase in the grain size of the synthesized ceramic. A thorough microstructural investigation indicates an excellent dispersibility and compatibility between BTCZ and SNO phases. With an increase in SNO substitution, a transition from typical ferroelectric to relaxor ferroelectric has been observed, which has led to a significantly slimmer ferroelectric loop along with frequency dispersive dielectric properties. The optimized composition (i.e., x = 0.10) exhibits an ultra-high recoverable energy density of 2.68 J/cm3 along with a moderately high energy efficiency of 83.4%. Further, SNO substituted samples have also shown an enhancement in breakdown strength. The improvement in energy storage performance and breakdown strength of SNO substituted BTCZ composites are mainly attributed to relatively homogeneous grain morphology, optimum grain size, microstructural density, and improved grain boundary interface.  相似文献

This article presents a hands‐off control design for discrete‐time nonlinear system with a special type of nonlinear sector termed as “discrete‐time sector.” The design method to define the boundary of a discrete‐time sector is done with control‐Lyapunov function. The generalization of nonlinear system is viewed in the perspective of a comparison function. By means of a proposed sector, a switching control is designed such that no control action is experienced inside the sector thus, saving unnecessary control efforts. However, to study the robustness for discrete‐time system, a hands‐off control is modified to ensure the monotonic decrease in the energy of the system. The thermoeconomic behaviour of a nanoparticle seeded single effect LiBr‐H2O absorption refrigeration system (ARS) is investigated for a small scale application. In the proposed method, alumina nanoparticles with volume concentrations of 3%, 5%, and 7% are dispersed into an aqua lithium bromide solution. The multiobjective heat transfer search algorithm is employed to examine the design trade‐off between the coefficient of performance (COP) and total annualized cost (TAC). To analyze the overall performance of the system, the influence of five design parameters, namely the temperatures of the generator, absorber, evaporator, condenser and heat exchanger pipe diameter, are studied. It is found that with an increase in the COP, the TAC of the system is initially raised marginally, and after that, raised rigorously with further increment. The comparative results indicate that the COP and TAC of the nanofluid based ARS system are increased by about 7% and decreased by about 3.2%, respectively, corresponding to the Pareto points of the base ARS system. A lower break‐even point of about 2.6 years is achieved for the ARS system containing nanoparticles compared to the base ARS system. Overall, the ARS system containing 5% nanoparticles is the best solution from a thermodynamic and economic point of view.  相似文献

Low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) micro-hotplates show wide applications in gas sensors and micro-fluidic devices. It is easily structured in three-dimensional structures. This paper presents the low power consumption micro-hotplates which were developed with PTC (positive temperature coefficient) temperature sensor and inter-digitated electrodes. The paper presents two different structures for micro-hotplate with platinum as a heating element. The PTC temperature sensor using two different materials viz. PdAg and platinum paste are developed with micro-hotplates. The simulation has been achieved through COMSOL for LTCC and alumina micro-hotplates. The temperature variation with power consumption has been measured for the developed LTCC micro-hotplates. The change in resistance of PTC temperature sensors was measured with micro-hotplate temperature. The aim of this study was to place a temperature sensor with the gas sensor module to measure and control the temperature of micro-hotplate. A SnO2 sensing layer is coated on LTCC micro-hotplate using screen printing and characterized for the sensing of carbon monoxide gas (CO). This study will be beneficial for designing hotplates based on LTCC technology with low power consumption and better stability of temperature for gas-sensing applications.  相似文献

A model cancer cell line was used to initiate polymerisation of pyrrole to form the conducting material polypyrrole. The polymerisation was shown to occur through the action of cytosolic exudates rather than that of the membrane redox sites that normally control the oxidation state of iron as ferricyanide or ferrocyanide. The data demonstrate for the first time that mammalian cells can be used to initiate synthesis of conducting polymers and suggest a possible route to detection of cell damage and/or transcellular processes through in situ and amplifiable signal generation.  相似文献

To evaluate the fill of internal resorption cavities obturated with thermoplasticized gutta‐percha and GuttaFlow2 using CT scan. Twenty human maxillary anterior teeth were selected and root canals were prepared using ProTaper system to size F3. Irrigation was performed with 5 ml of 2.5% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and 5 ml of 17% ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). Each root was then sectioned horizontally into two halves and semicircular cavities were prepared around the periphery of the root canal opening of each root half, using a round bur. Both the root halves were then fixed using cyanoacrylate glue. All the specimens were subjected to preoperative CT scan analysis to determine the volume of internal cavities. The samples were then randomly divided into two groups. In Group 1, the specimens were obturated with thermoplasticized gutta‐percha (E&Q system) and specimens in Group 2 were obturated using GuttaFlow2. All specimens were then subjected to postoperative CT scan analysis. The volume of voids in internal resorptive cavities were calculated, which was then used to estimate the amount of gutta‐percha filled. There was no significant difference in volume of internal resorptive cavities between thermoplasticized gutta‐percha and GuttaFlow2 groups before obturation (p = 0.466). However, after obturation there was a significant difference between both the groups, in which GuttaFlow2 demonstrated better fill (p = .014). Thermoplasticized gutta‐percha filled 81% of internal resorptive cavity while GuttaFlow2 filled 91%, respectively. GuttaFlow2 showed better fill than thermoplasticized gutta‐percha in the filling of internal resorptive cavities.  相似文献
