以学习者为中心的语言课程——美国ESL语言课程综述

本文对英语国家ESL语言培训课程的历史背景、教学理念和教学特点进行了介绍,提出作为一种有着丰富实践经验和成功教学案例的英语教学课程体系,它有值得在中国从事英语教学的教师和研究者学习和进行推广的价值。     

高速离心除菌技术在ESL牛乳生产中的应用

采用高速离心技术对生鲜牛乳除菌效果进行了研究，通过研究发现在离心力为7888g和牛乳温度为8℃条件下，离心15min，分别可除去原料乳中杂菌总数、芽孢总数和耐热芽孢为99．8％，93．9％和93．9％，离心后的原料乳经过巴氏杀菌，产品保质期达到30d。     

Extensive reading online: an overview and evaluation

Abstract This study reports on the design and implementation of a reading program — Extensive Reading Online (ERO) — that aims to offer an online reading platform featuring specific needs for EFL learners in Taiwan. The system includes both teacher and student interfaces. Several reading aids are integrated into the system, such as concordancer help, stage-by-stage reading strategy training, and text annotation functions. ERO was integrated into a college level reading class. Results show that students held a positive attitude toward the reading system. Some recommendations for future improvement are also discussed.     

Exploring the potential of word processing for non-native writers

The potential of word processing for non-native student writers is explored through an examination of effects in the categories of writing process, quantity and quality of writing, planning and prewriting, revising, conception of writing, cognitive processing, setting effects, and attitudes. It is maintained that non-native writers may benefit in significant ways from the attributes of word processing and the conditions surrounding its use in composition instruction. Martha C. Pennington holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania. As Reader in English at the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong, she directs research on the learning and teaching of English as a second language. Her most recent book is a collection edited with Vance Stevens entitled, Computers in Applied Linguistics(Multilingual Matters, 1992).     

SoC、DFM与EDA

介绍了系统级芯片(SoC)、可制造性设计(DFM)和电子设计自动化(EDA)的最新发展动态。SoC正在从单核向双核、四核和多核过渡。SoC设计必须采用DFM和EDA。采用DFM和EDA的优点:(1)提高芯片的生产效率和良率;(2)降低芯片生产成本;(3)缩短芯片生产周期,加速上市。

介绍了电源分布系统和传输线阻抗对高速电路设计的影响,并根据实践经验对如何处理高速电路电源系统的问题和注意事项提出一些指导意见,该文将对越来越多的设计者涉足高速电路的设计提供很好的帮助。     

加拿大安大略省ESL教学对江苏省高职院校EFL教学的启示

结合对安大略省ESL教学的调查研究，在英语学习者的学习动机、态度、师资，以及人才培养目标和英语教学大纲方面提出了我省高职英语教学存在的差异。从教学目标的定位、教学大纲的设计、教师队伍的构建以及教学效果的科学评估方面，提出了我省高职英语教学改革方式。     

Improving ESL writing using an online formulaic sequence word‐combination checker

Writing correct English sentences can be challenging. Furthermore, writing correct formulaic sequences can be especially difficult because accepted combinations do not follow clear rules governing which words appear together in a sequence. One solution is to provide examples of correct usage accompanied by statistical feedback from web‐based applications for learners to emulate. The goal of the study was to investigate whether such a dedicated web‐based program that provides instant examples of correct word combinations and detailed results of who used these examples, where and when, can improve students' writing. Data were collected from 74 ESL (English as a Second Language) undergraduate students divided into control and experimental groups, who performed formulaic sequence tests, wrote passages in English, followed by interviews with members of the experimental group. The results show that students who used the software outperformed those who did not, on the tests and the overall grades for their writing. Implementing formulaic sequence check programs in writing classes to help students decide which words can appear together, under which circumstances, and in which context is recommended.     

基于FPGA的SVPWM算法的ESL设计

为了解决复杂的全数字交流伺服系统的设计,提出了一种基于FPGA的ESL设计方法,并采用此方法完成了电机控制器模块的设计.依据电压空间矢量脉宽调制(SVPWM)原理,基于DSP Builder提供的功能模块库,给出了扇区判断、矢量作用时间计算、开通时间计算、开通时间分配及PWM生成等模块的设计方法,实现了一种采用FPGA和DSP功能相结合的全数字化速度伺服系统.仿真结果表明,该系统的电流环和速度环的采样频率可达到20 kHZ以上,具有响应速度快.调速范围宽等优点,所设计的SVPWM模块功能正确,同时也为全数字交流伺服系统的SOC设计提供了一种有效的实现方法.     

System Verilog语言在数字系统设计中的应用

使用Verilog进行数字系统设计时会出现对电路结构描述不够简洁、精确的问题.对IEEE的新标准Sys- temVerilog硬件描述语言进行了研究,通过比较两种语言的关键语法结构,分析了上述问题产生的原因和采用Sys- temVerilog语言的解决方法.最后,以HDB3编码电路设计为例,给出采用SystemVerilog语言进行设计、仿真和综合的结果.
